BTS Launches Discounted Travel Packages for Green Yellow Pink Lines

Bangkok’s commuters have a reason to celebrate as BTS Group Holdings has announced special discounted travel packages for three of its major train lines – the Green Line, Yellow Line, and Pink Line. These packages are set to run from September 11, 2025, until March 31, 2026, offering commuters the chance to travel more affordably and conveniently across the city.

With the rising cost of daily travel in Bangkok, these packages are expected to bring relief to thousands of residents who use the BTS and MRT systems regularly. They are carefully structured to provide maximum savings while maintaining flexibility for passengers who commute at different times and frequencies.

Green Line: Xtreme Savings Package

The Green Line, one of the busiest and most widely used routes, now offers the "Xtreme Savings" package. Adults can purchase a 35-trip package for 1,190 baht, reducing the fare to approximately 34 baht per trip. Students, on the other hand, can enjoy the same package for 945 baht, making the cost per trip about 27 baht.

Once purchased, the package will be loaded onto a Rabbit card, which is the standard electronic travel card used for BTS and some MRT routes. Commuters need to use the first trip within seven days of activation, and the remaining trips will be valid until March 31, 2026. This ensures that the package provides both convenience and savings for regular passengers.

Yellow Line: Extra Value Package

The Yellow Line, connecting Lat Phrao to Samrong, will also offer discounted travel packages called the "Extra Value" package. This package is designed to make travel along this route more affordable for both students and adults. Adults using this package will pay an average fare of 25 baht per trip, while students will pay around 20 baht per trip.

Tickets for this package can be purchased at any station along the Yellow Line, which includes 23 stations in total. By providing this package, the BTS aims to encourage more people to use public transport instead of private vehicles, easing traffic congestion and promoting environmentally friendly commuting options.

Pink Line: Flexible Travel Options

The Pink Line, which serves 30 stations including two in Muang Thong Thani, will offer flexible travel packages for both weekly and monthly commuters. Adults can purchase a 30-day package for 750 baht, or a 7-day package for 250 baht. Student fares are also available, allowing young passengers to travel affordably while commuting to school or other destinations.

These packages are designed to meet the needs of passengers with different travel frequencies, whether they are daily commuters or occasional riders. Using the Rabbit card system, passengers can easily load their packages and travel seamlessly along the Pink Line without worrying about paying per trip each time.

How to Purchase and Use the Packages

Passengers can purchase these discounted travel packages at any BTS or MRT station along the respective lines. In addition, the packages can also be activated and managed through the Rabbit Rewards application, allowing commuters to conveniently plan and track their trips.

The first trip must be used within seven days of package activation, but after that, the remaining trips can be used freely until the end of the package period on March 31, 2026. This flexibility ensures that passengers are not rushed to use their trips immediately, making the system convenient for those with irregular travel schedules.

Benefits for Daily Commuters

These travel packages are a major advantage for regular commuters. By purchasing trips in bulk, passengers can significantly reduce their cost per journey, making public transportation an affordable alternative to taxis or personal vehicles.

In addition to savings, the convenience of using a single Rabbit card across multiple lines eliminates the need for purchasing separate tickets for each journey. Passengers can seamlessly switch between the Green, Yellow, and Pink lines, saving time and reducing travel-related stress.

The initiative also encourages sustainable travel. By making public transportation more cost-effective, BTS is motivating more people to leave their cars at home, which can reduce traffic congestion and air pollution across Bangkok.
