Bunker Holding Appoints Peder Møller as CEO

Post by : Meena Rani

Bunker Holding, the world's leading marine fuels supplier, has announced a significant leadership change with the appointment of Peder Møller as its new Group CEO. Møller, who has been with the company since 2016 and part of its executive management since November 2024, will officially take over the role on October 6, succeeding Keld R. Demant. Demant, who has been with Bunker Holding for 27 years and served as CEO since 2013, will step down to become a Senior Advisor to the parent company, United Shipping & Trading Company (USTC).

Under Demant's leadership, Bunker Holding transformed from a company with revenues of $0.2 billion to the world's largest bunker supplier, achieving $13.7 billion in revenue in the most recent financial year. The company expanded its global presence to over 60 offices in more than 30 countries and employed approximately 1,300 people.

Møller's appointment comes at a time when the bunker industry is undergoing significant changes, including geopolitical challenges and the introduction of more sustainable fuel alternatives. As a key figure in developing Bunker Holding's "Fit for Future" strategy, Møller is expected to lead the company through these transitions. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as CEO of Global Risk Management and a strong background in strategy and business development.

The new executive management team will consist of Peder Møller as CEO, Michael Krabbe as CFO, and Anders Grønborg as CCO. This leadership transition reflects Bunker Holding's commitment to adapting to the evolving maritime energy landscape and positioning itself for future growth.
