The North Western Railway has announced big changes in train operations because of important construction work in the Bikaner Division. A Railway Under Bridge (RUB) is being built between Sadulpur Yard and Aslu–Dudhwa Khara stations. This project is very important for the safety of both road and rail traffic. Once ready, it will allow vehicles to pass under the railway line without stopping at level crossings.
However, during the three days of construction, 19, 20, and 21 September, train movement on the track will be badly affected. For the safety of workers and passengers, railway authorities have decided to cancel, partially cancel, divert, or delay several trains.
Complete Cancellation of Six Trains
Six passenger trains and special services will not run at all on selected days. These include:
Train No. 54789 Rewari–Bikaner Passenger (Cancelled on 20 September)
Train No. 54790 Bikaner–Rewari Passenger (Cancelled on 20 September)
Train No. 54316 Hisar–Rewari Passenger (Cancelled on 20 September)
Train No. 54315 Rewari–Hisar Passenger (Cancelled on 20 September)
Train No. 04705 Sri Ganganagar–Jaipur Special (Cancelled on 19 September)
Train No. 04706 Jaipur–Sri Ganganagar Special (Cancelled on 20 September)
These full cancellations will directly affect passengers travelling between Jaipur, Rewari, Bikaner, Hisar, and Sri Ganganagar.
Twelve Trains Partially Cancelled
Twelve other trains will run only on part of their journey, while the rest of their route will remain cancelled. For example:
Ludhiana–Churu Passenger (54604): Will run only between Ludhiana and Hisar; the Hisar–Churu stretch will not run on 19 and 20 September.
Bikaner–Hisar Express (54897): Will run between Bikaner and Churu; the Churu–Hisar part is cancelled.
Other trains like Jaipur–Sri Ganganagar Express, Hisar–Jaipur Passenger, and Jodhpur–Hisar Express will also be cut short on certain sections.
This means passengers may need to change trains or use alternate travel for the cancelled portions.
Eight Trains Diverted Through Different Routes
Eight trains will be diverted through longer or alternate routes so they can bypass the blocked track section. Some major changes include:
Rewari–Jodhpur Express (14824): Will go via Rewari → Sikar → Churu instead of the normal track.
Jodhpur–Delhi Sarai Rohilla Express (22422): Will run through Degana, Phulera, Jaipur, Alwar, and Rewari instead of the usual direct path.
Howrah–Barmer Express and Barmer–Howrah Express will also be diverted, affecting long-distance passengers.
These diverted routes may add extra travel time and cause different stoppages compared to normal.
Two Trains Rescheduled with Delays
Two trains will not be cancelled or diverted, but they will run late:
Sirsa–Kota Express (19808): Delayed by 1 hour 15 minutes on 20 September.
Hisar–Jodhpur Express (14892): Delayed by 1 hour on 20 September.
What This Means for Passengers
The three-day block for RUB construction will cause inconvenience, but it is necessary to improve the railway infrastructure. Passengers should:
Check train status before starting their journey.
Confirm alternate arrangements if their train is cancelled or partially cancelled.
Be ready for delays if travelling on diverted routes.
Stay updated using official railway enquiry counters, helplines, or online railway apps.
Railway officials have also requested passengers to cooperate and understand that these temporary disruptions are for long-term safety and smooth travel in the future.
Importance of the RUB Construction
The construction of the Railway Under Bridge will bring big benefits:
Safety for vehicles and pedestrians, as they won’t have to cross busy railway lines directly.
Less waiting time, since people will not get stuck at closed railway gates.
Faster train movement, because trains will not need to slow down near crossings.
Better traffic flow for both road and rail.
Although passengers face temporary difficulty, once the RUB is completed, it will reduce accidents and delays, creating smoother journeys for everyone.
