A global leader in electrification and automation technology has announced a major investment of $110 million to expand its manufacturing operations across the United States. This significant move is aimed at supporting growing demand for advanced energy solutions, including modern technologies for data centers, power grids, and industrial facilities. The expansion is expected to create nearly 200 new jobs and strengthen commitment to local communities and industries across the country.

Investment Across Key U.S. Facilities

The $110 million investment will be distributed across four major manufacturing sites in the U.S., each playing a key role in producing energy-efficient equipment and solutions.

Senatobia, Mississippi

$15 million will be invested in a new production line for innovative Emax 3 air circuit breakers. These devices are essential for protecting critical infrastructure such as data centers, airports, and hospitals. The new production line will improve safety, reliability, and energy efficiency, and is expected to start operations in 2026.

Richmond, Virginia

$30 million will be used to double the size of the existing manufacturing plant. The expansion includes a new warehouse, assembly lines, and a test center for high-quality power protection products. These products are crucial for industrial operations, hospitals, and manufacturing facilities that require an uninterrupted power supply. The Richmond plant expansion is projected to open in late 2025 and create around 100 new jobs.

Arecibo, Puerto Rico

More than $30 million will expand the facility to add three new production lines. This plant specializes in smart circuit breakers and switching devices that help distribute electricity efficiently while protecting equipment in factories and commercial buildings. By 2026, this expansion is expected to generate around 90 skilled jobs, strengthening the local workforce.

Pinetops, North Carolina

$35 million will enhance production capacity for low and medium-voltage grid components. These components are critical for power utilities, industrial facilities, and commercial buildings to maintain reliable energy systems. The upgraded facility will improve production efficiency and meet growing demand for energy solutions, with operations beginning in 2026.

Addressing Rising Energy Needs

The U.S. has seen rising electricity demands in recent years, particularly from data centers and industrial operations. Experts note that electricity costs increased by around 30-40% in the first half of 2025 compared to 2024. The growth in data centers is driving energy demand faster than before, with yearly consumption expected to increase more than 2% in 2025 and 2026.

The new technologies being produced at these facilities, such as advanced air circuit breakers, help meet these challenges. They provide reliable power protection, improve energy efficiency, and reduce operational costs for industrial and commercial clients. This aligns with helping customers build sustainable and efficient energy systems.

Commitment to Local Manufacturing

This investment is part of a broader strategy to enhance local manufacturing capabilities in the U.S. Over the past three years, significant investments have been made in establishing new factories and innovation labs. By strengthening local production, more than 90% of products in key markets are expected to be produced domestically, reducing dependency on imports and improving supply chain resilience.
