Honda Cuts Prices on Scooters and Bikes After GST 2.0 Revision

Post by : Meena Rani

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a major price reduction across its scooters and commuter motorcycles following the government’s recent GST revision. The GST rate on two-wheelers up to 350cc has been reduced from 28% to 18%, effective September 22, 2025. This change has allowed Honda to lower prices across its popular models, making them more affordable for buyers.

The company has decided to pass the entire tax benefit directly to customers, offering savings of up to ₹18,887 on select motorcycles. The move is aimed at boosting demand for two-wheelers while making personal transportation more accessible, especially ahead of the festive season when sales usually rise.

Why Honda Reduced Prices

Honda’s price reduction aligns with the government’s goal to make mobility more affordable. By lowering prices, Honda aims to:

  • Make two-wheelers more accessible for buyers

  • Increase sales during the festive season

  • Strengthen its position in India’s competitive two-wheeler market

  • Pass the full GST benefit directly to the customer

When Do New Prices Apply?

The new prices will come into effect on September 22, 2025. Customers planning to buy scooters or motorcycles can visit their nearest Honda dealership to check the revised prices and book a vehicle.

What This Means for Customers

If you are planning to buy a Honda scooter or motorcycle, this is an excellent time. The price reductions make it easier for people to buy reliable, fuel-efficient two-wheelers. The savings on popular models like Activa, Dio, Shine, and CB350 can make a significant difference in your budget.

Honda’s decision to reduce prices following the GST cut shows its commitment to providing value to customers. These reductions not only make two-wheelers more affordable but also support sustainable and efficient mobility solutions. By passing on the tax benefits fully, Honda ensures that buyers benefit directly from government reforms, making personal transportation more convenient and economical.
