Yeida Allots Plot for Noida Medical Firm to Expand Radiology Oncology

Post by : Armust Desk

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) has allotted a 12,000 square metre plot, which is about 3 acres, to a Noida-based medical equipment company in its Medical Device Park located at Sector 28. This project will bring an investment of Rs 60 crore and is expected to generate around 450 new jobs, marking a significant boost to the healthcare manufacturing industry in the region.

Expanding Into Radiology and Oncology

The Noida-based company, Premier Medical Systems & Devices Pvt Ltd, formerly known as Medisys, has a long history in India’s medical equipment industry. It was among the pioneers in making India’s first locally produced ventilator in the 1970s. Today, the company manufactures ICU ventilators, anaesthesia workstations, syringe pumps, and infusion devices. Its products are not only used across India but are also exported to Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

With the new facility in the Medical Device Park, the company plans to continue producing its current range of equipment. In addition, it will expand its manufacturing to include advanced radiology devices such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines. The company will also focus on oncology devices, including biopsy systems and cancer-specific infusion units.

Shailendra Bhatia, Yeida’s officer on special duty, stated, “The Noida-based company will invest Rs 60 crore, creating around 450 new jobs, as it broadens its manufacturing portfolio to include radiology and oncology equipment.”

North India’s First Dedicated Medical Device Park

The Medical Device Park at Sector 28 covers a total area of 350 acres and is the first dedicated hub for advanced healthcare equipment in North India. The park provides the necessary infrastructure for radiology, cancer care, diagnostics, implants, and more. Under the national “Promotion of Medical Device Parks” scheme, the approval process for setting up businesses in the park is simplified, making it easier for companies to invest and start manufacturing.

Yeida is implementing the park project, which received Central government approval for its Detailed Project Report in 2022. The Medical Device Park is designed to be a modern, state-of-the-art facility for healthcare equipment manufacturers.

Progress and Construction Timeline

As of mid-2025, Yeida has allotted a total of 89 plots within the Medical Device Park. Among these, 23 firms have signed lease deeds, and 10 have received building-plan approvals. Construction work is currently underway at seven sites, including a notable project by TI Medical, which is setting up an 11-acre manufacturing unit.

The Central government has set January 2026 as the deadline for completing all infrastructure projects within the park. Besides industrial facilities, the park will also include amenities for employees, such as gyms, food courts, landscaped gardens, and banking services. These amenities are being developed through a Rs 14.25 crore contract, ensuring a comfortable and modern working environment for employees and staff.

Boost to Employment and Healthcare Sector

The new investment is expected to generate around 450 jobs, providing employment opportunities for engineers, technicians, and other skilled workers. By expanding into radiology and oncology equipment, the park aims to strengthen India’s healthcare manufacturing capabilities. This project will also support domestic production of advanced medical devices, reducing dependency on imports and promoting exports to neighboring countries.

The development of the Medical Device Park is part of a broader strategy to make North India a hub for high-tech healthcare equipment manufacturing. With modern facilities, simplified approvals, and dedicated infrastructure, Yeida is aiming to attract more medical equipment companies to the park in the coming years.

Advanced Healthcare Manufacturing

Premier Medical Systems & Devices’ new facility reflects India’s growing capabilities in the medical technology sector. By combining domestic expertise with modern infrastructure, the company will be able to serve both domestic and international markets efficiently. The park also emphasizes innovation, quality, and safety, ensuring that India becomes a reliable source of advanced medical devices in the region.

With the project moving forward, North India’s healthcare manufacturing sector is expected to receive a major boost. The combination of skilled workforce, advanced infrastructure, and government support positions the Medical Device Park as a model for future healthcare industrial development in India.
